This style of reading will most likely be done via written email or an audio and is usually short and direct.
For one-question readings, or prashna, here are some recommendations as to how to formulate a question:
Don't ask an 'either/or' question that is too ambiguous or an 'if/then' kind of question.
Don't ask more than one question.
Don't ask a causal or nonchalant question that does not mean much to you. One should be invested in what they are asking about.
If you ask using vulgar language, I will not cast a prashna.
Make sure the question is clear, direct and straightforward.
Always write down your question before asking the astrologer. This forces you to think clearly and concisely. The question should be formulated into one sentence--not a novel.
Don't ask convoluted questions. Keep them as straightforward as possible.
Don't ask an open ended question like, "what should I do with my life?" It is simply to vague with thousands of angles to go into. It won't work in prashna.
Try to formulate the question in a positive leading tone rather than a negative.
